On September 19, Carmen Giannattasio makes her exciting debut in Dubai with Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz under the baton of Maestro Michael Francis. The concert will feature the romantic Crystal Palace suite written by Alexey Shor and scored for soprano and large orchestra. Based on a historical event surrounding Anna Ioannovna, the plot involves the Empress arranging a marriage between court jesters in a specially built Ice Palace. Following the piece, the orchestra will play the thrilling Symphony No. 5 (“Reformation”) by Mendelssohn. The performance will be available to stream through medici.tv.
