On the occasion of Enrico Caruso’s 100th birthday, on August 2, Carmen Giannattasio pays homage to the great tenor at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento, who stayed there, and where Lucio Dalla, several years later, composed one of his most popular songs on the same piano.
The Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento has decided to open the doors of the “Suite Caruso” to Ms. Giannattasio and the Neapolitan musical duo KamAak with Stella Manfredi, violinist, and Luigi Castiello, producer and composer.
They premiered a piece, “Caruso’s Theme”, dedicated to the tenor, inspired by the places where the great maestro lived and then performed. All this was made possible by thanks to Guido Fiorentino, CEO and owner, and Tiziana Laterza, hotel manager, who supported the project.
