On December 8 and 12, Carmen Giannattasio will reprise the title role of Puccini’s Tosca with Deutsche Oper Berlin. A signature role of Ms. Giannattasio’s, she has portrayed the diva at famed international opera companies including San Francisco Opera, Opera Australia, Teatro di San Carlo and most recently, Wiener Staatsoper.
Boleslaw Barlog’s beloved 1969 production will also star Marco Berti as Mario Cavaradossi, Ambrogio Maestri as Scarpia, Samuel Dale Johnson as Angelotti, Padraic Rowan as Sacristan, Andrew Dickinson as Spoletta, Patrick Guetti as Sciarrone and Tyler Zimmerman as Turnkey. Ivan Repusic conducts.
